About

Why The Remote Rupee exists

Pakistan's freelancers earned $1.76 billion through banking channels in 2025-26, and most of them were never taught how that money is taxed, which route to bring it home, or what being a non-filer quietly costs them. The answers online are scattered, out of date, or written to sell something.

The Remote Rupee is one place for straight answers. Every video comes with a written guide and a working calculator, and every figure traces back to FBR's own rate cards and circulars.

Who's behind it

The channel and site are run by a qualified accountant with 16 years in corporate finance, including multi-entity reporting, VAT and international tax compliance, who trained in audit and tax at an international network firm and files freelancer returns in Pakistan.

How we use AI

Video narration and visuals are AI-generated. Scripts are researched and every rate, threshold and rule is checked by a human accountant before anything is published. We mark AI-generated content on YouTube as required.

What this is not

Everything here is general information to help you understand the rules. It is not tax, legal or financial advice for your situation. Tax law changes often; confirm with FBR or a professional before acting.
